The Newark incident is worth exploring. My first knowledge of it came in a message to my smart phone that told a half truth that was clearly to support a crass pitch for money. I momentarily thought the worst of what I heard. Then I decided to dig deeper. It wasn't as bad as I originally thought. Just another case of the gross managerial incompetence of trump side and a gift to the campaign of one of our champions.
Then I started to think deeper about Trump's hesitancy to suspend habeas corpus. Lincoln took that step because he had enough confidence in his military to know he had a majority support. Trump isn't there yet. And while he muses over the idea of locking up everyone who doesn't agree with him, he knows he simply doesn't have the cards and may never have them.
