Today has been a pretty stressful political day, to put it mildly, so I hope seeing a thread with some of our Dems, who are fighting back and making noise daily helps you keep fighting too.Ariella Elm is a reader-supported publication.
I LOVE your content! Not sure how you find the time to keep up with everything. I did check Bluesky for Slotkin’s video and tho I didn’t watch it, I read through the comments. She got eviscerated.
you should watch it. it’s very very good. And I promise you the comments didnt’ watch it which is sad, cause I think they’d get something out of it too.
Seeing so many folks ask you not to link to Twitter I am moved to share the following that a different Substack writer uses when he wants to include Twitter memes in his weekly round up of funnies. He uses an app called, Xcancel. His instructions to his readers below on how to view these videos in the app is shared below for your edification. Also, I bet Jay Kuo, the author of the newsletter would likely be a wealth of helpful advice about integrating this app into your newsletter if you reached out to him.
(Note: Xcancel links mirror Twitter without sending any traffic to it. Issues? Click the settings gear on the upper right of the Xcancel page and select “proxy video streaming through the server.” Then click “save preferences” at the bottom.)
My reason for posting Twitter would be for the people who still have it to be able to give love to the dems since they’re probably not getting a whole lot there. Kind of open it if you have it, ignore it if you don’t
Lots of great information in this one. That video from Slotkin (while she’s not my favorite given some of her votes) is very informative and well worth 8 minutes. I shared several of these posts on Bluesky under our Indivisible account.
Please don’t post Twitter links. No one should be supporting that platform. Thank you for what you are doing. You are helping to keep me sane and hopeful!
