🗳 Lots of good ones today, especially liked Galego's. Noem just truly angers me. Her video at that detention camp was absolutely sickening as she paraded around in front of prisoners with her curated outfit and her expensive watch like a cheap influencer, not a serious statesperson.

🗳️ as soon as I heard about the SAVE act I called my mom and told her to get a passport. Planning for the worst while hoping for the best.

The SAVE Act is such a sneaky bill, it sounds like a good idea (however unnecessary) until you look under the hood. It will cause great harm, inconvenience and most dastardly, the disenfranchisement of millions of voters and particularly women. I believe there is a large swath of the electorate that will likely be uninformed about the consequences, until it’s too late. So I’m doing all I can to raise awareness and to tell all my friends. family and colleagues to call their lawmakers to vote no. Also, working to elevate this clips you share with us, Ariella. highlight for us

🗳️ I’ve been following the SAVE act particularly ever since I first heard about it. Seeing more voices of those who have been elected to places of power speaking out against it and outlining the particulars of some of the more hidden details within the act is so very hopeful for me.

Thank you for sharing the positives you find each day and reminding us of the power we ourselves also hold.

I just am worried it will be too late to stop the tariffs.

Too late in what sense?

In that there already will have been enough damage to the point where it may be irreversible and that we will sink into a depression, forever isolated, and never to be free of oligarchy… even if we do beat Trump.

Sorry if that sounds pessimistic but I am very worried.

Nothing is forever. No matter how bad it gets there is ALWAYS a way we get out of it. Just look at Poland, Hungary is getting there too. There are so many countries across the world that are or were in our position. We are not alone, and we will keep fighting this no mater how bad it gets.

My parents have lived under totalitarian regimes and talking with them has helped me so much to realize what you’re saying Ariella. Things will be bad, we’ll lose elections and money etc but there is always hope for change. It doesn’t go away because of tariffs or a bad SCOTUS decision.
