I have a headache (thanks so much POTS) so I’m gonna try to make this fast.
We had not one but TWO wins in PA voter rights cases on Friday.
The first ruling decided that mail-in ballots without a date or with the wrong date must be counted.
The second was rejecting the Republican attempt to remove 277k voters from the voter roll.
60 Minutes is continuing to stand up. Tonight’s episode had a segment on the lawyers and lawfirms DT is attacking. Marc Elias, who runs Democracy Docket, where the article from the first win is from, was the only lawyer who was willing to be interviewed on camera.
One of Pope Francis’ final wishes was for his popemobile to be turned into a mobile health clinic for Gazan children, and thanks to Caritas Jerusalem, that’s exactly what’s going to happen.
Alright, on that note I’m going to lie down. Remember, no matter how asinine the day is, how many ridiculous things DT tries to pull, and today might just take the cake, there are always wins
Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them!
Thanks for your Win # 2 - the 5/4/25 60-minute segment on law firms. I just want to add that one of the other lawyers interviewed in the segment is John Keker, who along with the other named partners in his SF law firm wrote a NYT Op Ed that ultimately attracted 504 law firms to sign an amicus brief in the Perkins Coie case that, as the segment reports in its very final moments, resulted in a huge federal court victory for Perkins Coie on Friday, May 2. Here is a link to the Keker, Van Nest and Peters NYT Op Ed. This Op Ed and the amicus brief are examples of some impressive legal public courage and leadership in fighting back!

I have orthostatic hypotension and I get it. Rest up and thank you for your work.
