It’s Thursday, my hell day, so it’s significantly later than I’d like it to be. Here are today’s wins!
Yesterday, Illinois Governor, JB Pritzker signed an executive order protecting autistic Illinoisans from having their data shared without informed consent.
Every Illinoisan deserves dignity, privacy, and the freedom to live without fear of surveillance or discrimination. As Donald Trump and DOGE threaten these freedoms, we are taking steps to ensure that our state remains a leader in protecting the rights of individuals with autism and all people with disabilities.
It finally happened. The WI congressional anti-gerrymandering lawsuit has officially been filed. It is Bothfeld v. Wisconsin Elections Commission. This is one of the major reasons we fought so hard for Justices Protasiewicz and Crawford. Justices and Judges really are one of our most important elections.
This morning a frantic call went out on social media that some Dem Senators were considering voting for cloture on the GENIUS Act, a bill that deals with crypto but does nothing to stop or even condemn DT’s crypto bribery.
Because people answered the call and immediately called their Senators, and because Leader Schumer unified the caucus, every Democrat voted against cloture today. If you’re so inclined, this is the roll call.
So there you have it, another 3 wins for another day.
Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them!
Thank you for these glimmers of hope in these troubling times. I read all your substacks every day (all the way through, though I don’t follow your instructions to send emojis each time). Just wanted to to know you are greatly appreciated!
We badly need every win we can get! Keep fighting!
