I got to interview Greg Landsman (OH-01) today! And it was really insightful. He is so articulate and answered all my questions so well! Not to toot my own horn, but this is definitely a must-watch interview.

But there were also so many non-me-related wins too. Here are some of them.
Justice Allison Riggs has officially been sworn in to her rightful place on the North Carolina Supreme Court bench.
If you watched the interview at the top of this post, you already know what this win is. Today began the real budget fight with three committee hearings that will decide what is in the final budget bill. The Medicaid cuts specifically will be decided in the Energy and Commerce Committee hearing. The goal is that it lasts as long as possible, and that’s going to take us amplifying it to high heavens.
Part of that amplification will happen thanks to the amazing protesters that are staying put in the hearing room and in the hall until the hearing is over. They are being as disruptive as possible without breaking any laws (though some are being arrested anyway), and they are heroes. As Rep Landsman said, they are the reason he has hope right now.
State District Court Judge in Missoula Montana, Judge Jason Marks, ruled today that the 2023 law that banned trans healthcare services is unconstitutional. Judge Marks said:
Defendants are unable to clearly and convincingly establish that a bona fide health risk exists. They have not put forth any evidence showing major medical organizations in the United States have changed their stance on gender-affirming medical care. Instead, they argue that no medical consensus exists on the benefits of gender-affirming care. This is the incorrect standard. The question is whether a medically acknowledged, bona fide health risk exists,
Congrats to Montana. Even though it can still be appealed to the Montana Supreme Court, this is a huge win!
And this is just a small smattering of today’s wins. Comment below with some others you know. I mean…I think there’s one out of Nebraska…might be kinda big.
Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them!
There's one win that even surprised me. I didn't know there was an election for the Mayor of Omaha, the 3-term Republican lost to Democrat John Ewing Jr.
Well done, Ariella! I didn’t realize they were able to get that database tracking kidnapped Ukrainian children back online and running. That’s really good news! I saw the videos of the folks in wheelchairs being arrested. NOT a good look for republicans. Of course, the last 100+ days have not been a good look for republicans.
