I’ve been so focused on my election guide today, that I said and typed March 25th multiple times while posting this series across various platforms.
And in a personal win, my disabled body is recovering nicely from going to a protest and acting like a normal human for a few too many hours yesterday.
Anyway, here are today’s less personal wins!
While certain law firms, that don’t deserve to be named, are losing their spine, Keker Van Ness and Peters won’t back down.
An attack on lawyers who perform this work is inexcusable and despicable. Our profession owes every client zealous legal representation without fear of retribution, regardless of their political affiliation or ability to pay. We encourage law firm leaders to sign on to an amicus effort in support of Perkins Coie’s challenge to the Administration’s executive order targeting the firm, and to resist the Administration’s erosion of the rule of law.
In Detroit, MI and Windsor, Ontario they held a joint rally against DT and in support of Canada’s independence. For those who don’t know, even though they’re different countries, they boarder each other across a river. Here is a clip from the protest.
At Rep Ilhan Omar’s (MN-05) town hall on Thursday, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey announced that the city “will continue to be a safe Haven for undocumented immigrants.” Republicans are, of course, furious.
And those are the wins I have for today!
