I shared this post to my followers on Spoutible. It’s been overlooked as a social media option cuz people wanna flock to Blue Sky, but don’t overlook Spoutible. I’ve been trying my hardest to amplify what Dems are doing.

I tried spoutible but it felt like no one was there and it was a waste of time. Has that changed?

Utah Rep. Celeste Maloy offered this at a town hall in SLC. Maybe she added the part about Biden just to offer some cover for the statement. It’s small, but it’s something.

“Republican U.S. Rep. Celeste Maloy received applause at a Thursday town hall in Salt Lake City when she told the crowd she’s concerned about the country drifting toward authoritarianism “if we don’t get the executive branch under control.”

But the cheers turned to boos when she added those worries weren’t specific to Republican President Donald Trump.

“When Biden was president, I had the same concern,” she said, referring to former Democratic President Joe Biden.“

While I think Joe Biden became one of our best presidents, Rep Maloy actually has a good point: the drift toward ever greater executive power has been going on for a long time. Trump and his enablers are building on that. When the tide turns sufficiently, we need to rebalance separation of powers to make it harder for authoritarians to do this again.

Has the government also restored the records of the women pilots who were so courageous in WWII? Obama brought them to DC for a special award ceremony. Many were in their 90s.
