Did you know I’ve been doing this series for 50 days??? It’s completely wild to me. I’m so glad I have been here to get all of us through this tumultuous period in our lives, here’s to 50 more, even if things get better, and god do I hope so, I still want to continue this, cause I think it’s so important.
Anyway, let’s get to the wins before I get too sappy.
NC AG Jeff Jackson used to frequently update us on TikTok and Instagram when he was in congress. Because of his calm demenor and transparency, he quickly gained a following and became “TikTok’s Congressman.”
He was gerrymandered out of his seat in November, so instead of trying to run in a ruby red district, he ran for Attorney General and won. But that meant we hadn’t heard from him on social media in a long time.
Well, he’s back! He won’t be able to update us quite as frequently, cause he has a whole lot more responsibility now, but he promised to update us as often as he can! This was the first thing I saw when I woke up and it was by far the best thing to wake up to!
Last summer, SCOTUS struck down affirmative action. But Harvard doesn’t care, they’re going to get diverse voices in the door no matter what it takes, and today they announced a new initiative!
If your family makes less than $100k, Harvard is free. That includes room and board and books and everything. If your family makes between $100k-$200k, tuition is free, so instead of paying 80k, you’re paying more like 20k, as in, just books, room and board.
President Alan Garber said:Putting Harvard within financial reach for more individuals widens the array of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives that all of our students encounter, fostering their intellectual and personal growth. By bringing people of outstanding promise together to learn with and from one another, we truly realize the tremendous potential of the University.
Don’t be Columbia when you can be Harvard.
Six days ago, there was a hearing for Texas HB3, also known as, the Greg Abbot Voucher Scam. There were many people speaking out against the bill, including Republican voters, who don’t think school vouchers represent any part of their values.
Today, Dem James Talarico (HD-50) posted a video with clips of their arguments during the hearing. Unfortunately, it’s only on Threads. But you can open the link without having an account on your browser.
You can also watch the full hearing, if you are so inclined, below.

Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them!
I read that 100k Germans were polled. 94% of them said they would never consider a Tesla now or future.
Awesome - thank you! So grateful for your work and cheers to 50 days!
