I wonder if I posted every single political win, how many there would be. Put your guesses in the comments, who knows, maybe enough people will comment that we’ll hear about them all!
Guantanamo Bay has been cleared out for a second time. We don’t know why, but just the fact that it happened is a win. My theory is a combo between this incredible statement by Sarah Jacobs. And this Last Week Tonight Episode from two nights ago
Maybe they even realized how much financial waste they produced with this ridiculous and inhumane display.
Tim Walz announced the first leg of his town hall tour tonight! He’s going to Republican districts all over the country. He will start in Zach Nunn’s IA-03 district on Friday, and then he will be in Don Bacon’s NE-02 district on Saturday
And he has stops already planned for WI, MN and OH in the coming weeks. I can’t tell you how excited I am about this!
It seems like Washington Post still has the capacity to do something right. The Social Security Administration was planning on cutting off phone service for those on social security, because, yes they are truly that evil, but thanks to a WaPo article, they backtracked. At least, according to WaPo.
The Social Security Administration late Wednesday abandoned plans it was considering to end phone service for millions of Americans filing retirement and disability claims after The Washington Post reported that Elon Musk’s U.S. DOGE Service team was weighing the change to root out alleged fraud.
I suspect there were a lot of other factors at play, including backlash across the board from Dems and Rs alike.
And those are the wins I’ve got! Can’t wait to read all the wins you’ve found!
Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them!
How about the fiery speech from Rep. John Larson calling out republicans for wanting to privatize Social Security and Elon Musk for not coming before Congress? We need that kind of energy from all Democrats. That’s how they let us know they are fighting for us. Yes, I know there’s all kinds of things going on. However, we are so used to seeing the faux outrage from people on the other side of the aisle like Jim Jordan yelling about nothing and don’t see that kind of energy from Democrats as often as we should.
Such a smart move by Tim to cover GOP towns that scared their reps away.
