Today is a hard day and tonight probably won’t be much better. It’s more important now than ever to find the wins. And they are there, I promise!
Here are three of them.
Wed June 4 - My friend, North Carolina State Senator for District 22, Sophia Chitlik gave a fantastic speech against the anti immigration bill making it’s way through the legislature. She says that there is vastly less violence coming from immigrants than citizens, and she’s right. This is definitely one of those posts that should be going viral.
Today - Carla Hayden, former Librarian of Congress, was interviewed on CBS Sunday Morning today. She is continuing to stand up and fight back, as are countless CBS shows.
Today - Hoboken, New Jersey, paints the intersection at First and Washington for PRIDE every year, it’s the crosswalk in front of City Hall, and today was that day. The volunteers were joined by Mayor Ravi Bhalla
So I hope you found some hope in today’s wins.
Remember, our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them!
Also San Antonio elected Gina Ortiz Jones for Mayor! Over a Governor Abbott select!
Thank you for your great news especially after today with LA.🩷💕🩷
