It’s 8:34pm pt. Let’s see how quickly I can make this post. I could not be more ready for my day off tomorrow, I swear.
Fri, July 4 - Phil Buehler is a New York artist, and he unveiled a new mural titled “Wall of Shame” in Brooklyn which documents all the proven and alleged crimes of the Jan 6 insurrectionists.
In an interview with The Guardian he said:
Artists can have more power than Fox News to turn this around. Boy, would Magaland hate it if culture, music and art [pushed back]. You’ve got to double down the other way and start flooding this zone with art as Trump tries to erase it.
That quote is going to stick with me for a long time.
Tues, July 8 - Laramie Wyoming Sheriff’s Department found that out of the 24 people they were investigating for voter fraud, one of them wasn’t eligible to vote, and it wasn’t a non citizen, it was someone with a prior felony conviction. Wyoming passed a law claiming that non citizens voting was a real problem….oops.
Yesterday - Moderna received full FDA approval for COVID vaccine for kids 6 months -11 years, the caveat being they must be at increased risk for COVID. It’s not a full win, but we celebrate partial wins here too. And, with this admin, partial wins are still massive.
I think that’s the fastest I’ve ever done this.
I hope these wins helped make your day better.
Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them!
And then there’s the judge who ordered ICE et al to stop doing these random arrests based on racial profiling
