I’ve been posting this series everywhere else, so now it’s on Substack too.
It seems like everyone wants to be the first to tell you the bad news of the day, but no one wants to share where we are winning. And I don’t think we can fight if all we hear is the bad things, especially when that’s not all that’s happening.
Hopefully hearing three wins everyday will help you continue to have the strength, power and resiliance to keep fighting.
I’ve covered this ad nauseum, but it still deserves to be here. DT attempted to fire between 12 and 18 (the number keeps growing) Inspectors General, many of whom he appointed in the first place, but he did so illegally, so they refuse to leave. You can learn more in my post all about this topic.
Scott MacFarlane, best known for his investigative reporting about Jan 6, has been named Justice Correspondent at CBS News. I don’t know his work, but he got the stamp of approval from people like Jane Lynch and Keith Obermann. It seems like he only reports the facts and will not bow down.
Illinois and Chicago area immigrant groups are suing DT for the raids and deportations. The suit was filed by Organized Communities Against Deportation, Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, Brighton Park Neighborhood Council. They argue that he has violated the first amendment and the fourth amendment which bars against unreasonable search and seizure.
Come back tomorrow for three more wins. And if you have others that I didn’t mention, don’t hesitate to leave them in the comments!
