Three Wins Today (Feb 5, 2025)
So today’s focus was definitely on the huge wins of Dems Doing the Work in both the House and Senate (that post is the one before this one,) but don’t worry, I got your three daily non US legislature wins too!
The 50501 protests worked! They were real, they weren’t hijacked, and they happened ALL over the country. They even coincided in many cases with Indivisible meetings at various offices of US electeds who we are calling nonstop. Axios has a compilation of photos from various events around the country!
Biden really put us in good hands with the amazing judges he nominated. Judge Deborah Boardman has blocked DT’s attempt to end birthright citizenship. The last temporary restraining order by a Reagan appointee lasted two weeks, this one is much less temporary.
The United States Supreme Court has resoundingly rejected the president’s interpretation of the Citizenship Clause of the 14th Amendment. In fact, no court in the country has ever endorsed the president’s interpretation. This court will not be the first.
Well, that’s clear.
MN House DFL have not been at the capitol for a single day of this session because the GOP attempted a power grab so they left them without a quorum. They also postponed an election we will win to keep them in power. The state Supreme Court ruled that the GOP could not conduct business, but they didn’t listen. FINALLY, today, they agreed to a power sharing agreement and the House DFL are back to work. Republicans are, in fact, not all powerful.
I know a lot of people go to sleep after reading this post, or at least stop looking at their computers, so good night, sweet dreams, we’re gonna keep fighting and we’re gonna keep winning and we WILL win in the end.
