Today was a LONG day so this is gonna be fast. In personal wins I have a couple amazing people at Meta looking over my account, so hopefully I can get it back, in the meantime you can find me on those platforms at demsdoingthework.
David Jolly has officially registered as a Dem. He launched Florida 2026, a group focused on registering FL Dems, but this will soon lead to a run for governor next year.
The South Carolina State Senate approved a resolution to remove R state treasurer Curtis Loftis who made a $1.8 billion accounting error by 33–8
In NC a trial court panel ruled that transferring the power to point members to the state board of elections from the governor to the state auditor is unconstitutional.
I’m so sorry this is so short, it’s 10pm, and I need to go to bed.
Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them!
Jolly running in FL is not really a good thing. We’ve been down this road before with Charlie Crist; the Dems’ inability to find a solid candidate is in part to blame for where we are now here (gerrymandering doesn’t help either). Jolly’s got a lot of very concerning ties to Scientology as well, and a lot of us just plain don’t want that influence in our government. Florida has enough problems. Unfortunately, the FL Dems are in a bit of disarray from the top down (which may be an understatement). Maybe Josh Weil can whip us into shape!
