It’s so late and I’m so tired so this is speed version
Republicans tried to argue that NPR is controlled by the DNC. The FEC unanimously dismissed that bs last month, but it was just made public today!
A jury has concluded that the New York Times didn’t commit libel against Sarah Palin in 2017, because they made an honest mistake and honest mistakes are not covered under libel. This is a pretty big deal, because if they had decided differently, that would greatly erode freedom of the press.
The Tennessee legislative session is over, which means that god awful bill that would allow schools to enroll students based on immigration status is not seeing the light of day anytime soon. And this is partially thanks to the Republicans who, yesterday, wrote to the Admin making sure this wasn’t evil enough to lose them federal funding. Cause, they do care that some kids get educated. By that point there was just no time left to get the bill out of the House and Senate, so in committee it sits till next year.
I’m tired because I got to help out a very famous political name that has been all over the news recently with launching their social media, and I will share more once it’s launched. And I will probably never stop sharing cause their voice is so important right now.
Anyway, our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them!
