I am so sorry this is coming out so late, but I hope it’s still useful to people!
There aren’t too many elections this week, but that doesn’t mean the ones there are, aren’t important. In fact, this week, we can keep some Republicans out of local office!
This week we have a handful of municipal races in CA, FL, GA, MA, NY, SC and WY.
Also, early voting has started for WI April 1, the Supreme Court Race for Susan Crawford!
Usually, I tell you to only read the races in your district, but today, I want to make a point.
For most of these races, the candidate is running unopposed. It doesn’t matter how good or bad the candidate is, no one ran against them, so they have no reason to be better.
So please just read through all these races and maybe it will inspire you to run for an office like one of these.
When we say Run For Something, that doesn’t necessarily mean in the state or federal legislature. Maybe, in your case, it means running for village trustee against a candidate who has never had a single ounce of opposition.
And if a candidate is unopposed, in most states, you have the ability to write someone in. That way, at least a bad candidate knows they don’t have 100% support of voters.
So, with that said, let’s begin!

I hope this was inspiring, or at least eye-opening. We can’t let a single race go uncontested, and, as Ken Martin says, we do for about 70% of races across the country. That needs to end.
Your vote is your voice and that voice is your superpower, but only when you use it!
