I haven’t said this in a while, so please don’t just read this post but interact with theirs as well. It’s great that my post gets views, but the goal is to amplify theirs. The more we can amplify the less people will say “do something!”
Here are some of today’s fighters!
Repping the Rep: John Garamendi (CA-08)
Posted about his staff participating in Bike To Work Day. I love when members of Congress, and their staff walk the walk, or, in this case, bike.

Rep Diana DeGette (CO-01)
has today’s “Democratic Daily Download” and it’s all about the 26 hour Energy and Commerce Committee markup specifically the cuts to Planned Parenthood, which I don’t think has gotten the attention it deserves

Rep Emilia Sykes (OH-13)
Has introduced the bipartisan “Law Enforcement Scenario-based Training for Safety and De-escalation Act.” It was introduced with Republican Reps, Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01), and Don Bacon (NE-02), and Dem Rep Glenn Ivey (MD-04).
If signed into law, it would hopefully force police to learn that excessive force and automatic arrest are rarely the answer.
On her WTF show yesterday, she spoke with the Canton Ohio police chief, John Gabbard about the bill.
It’s not perfect, but it’s certainly a step in the right direction.

Rep Jared Huffman (CA-02)
Posted a new episode of “The Flip Side” where he discussed what happened in the National Resources Committee markup last week, where he is Ranking Member. Republicans want to open public lands to oil and gas extraction and mining and Democrats proposed 120 amendments against this for over 13 hours.
And if you’re so inclined, you can watch the entire markup session below.

Rep Brendan Boyle (PA-02)
Is the Ranking Member on the House Budget Committee. They were supposed to do their own markup today, and they started to, but Freedom Caucus Republicans wanted more cuts. Rep Boyle went on MSNBC to break it all down.
Sen Tammy Baldwin (WI)
Interrogated RFK Jr. during the Health, Education, Labor and Pension (HELP) Committee hearing two days ago. She asked him directly why he is firing people focused on lead poisoning in Wisconsin. “ And it’s not because this program is ineffective, it’s because you fired the entire team.”
She’s usually fairly mild-mannered, but not here.
Rep Delia Ramirez (IL-03)
Is such a badass. She handed Sec Noem a letter demanding her resignation. Even if you don’t understand the letters, you understand that doing this in person makes a massive statement.

Sen Reverand Raphael Warnock (GA)
Got arrested at the capital back in 2017, before he was even a Member Of Congress, in defense of the ACA. So don’t for a second think that he isn’t all in on fighting to save Medicaid and healthcare in general.

And finally…
Sen Andy Kim (NJ)
Informed RFK Jr. that the Firefighter Cancer Registry had been shut down, and because he brought attention to it, it was put back up yesterday. They only get away with things when we don’t say something. The second we say something they stop getting away with it.
Don’t stay silent about anything they’ve taken away, no matter how small.
