Today is all about the Big Betrayal Bill and how our Dems are fighting back. We just have to focus and delay this thing as long as possible.
So here are some of our Dems highlighting the betrayal!
Repping the Rep: Wesley Bell (MO-01)
Posted his thoughts against the Betrayal Bill. He also included specifics of how many people in Missouri will be kicked off healthcare. Keep in mind, every Democrat is doing this. Don’t think for a second yours isn’t.

DNC ( )
Has a new Daily Blueprint! And Hannah’s back! (she wasn’t there on Friday)
Today’s blueprint is of course focused on the betrayal bill, but I did learn about the new DNC, DLCC, DCCC, DSCC, and DGA joint-initiative, “Organizing Summer”

So one of the goals of organizing summer is to organize in non-political spaces. Hannah Knowles wrote in her WaPo article:
One component involves training volunteers on how to support Democrats and make the case against Republicans in settings not specifically devoted to politics such as book clubs, online sports forums, WhatsApp groups and the neighborhood-based social network Nextdoor.
It’s basically a way to train volunteers and train people who want to be messaging the right way on how to do so. There are also a lot of other pieces to this and a lot of other projects that will be under this umbrella, but that’s where it’s starting. And you can already sign up for a training.
Basically, this is everything we’ve been hoping for, and I hope people recognize that and amplify it and praise it and the amazing campaign arms working together to make this happen so we are not waiting till the last minute to start connecting with voters.
Rep Suzanne Bonamici (OR-01)
Has today’s Democratic Daily Download. She discusses what she heard from her constituents during her recent town halls about how Medicaid cuts will affect their lives.

Rep Jason Crow (CO-06)
Was on The Takeout Podcast explaining how Medicaid cuts will affect every single one of us, whether we’re on Medicaid or not, because it will affect the hospitals and the doctors and the nurses. This is a must-watch.

Sen Tina Smith (MN)
Shared a story from a constituent who is a healthcare worker on how they will be affected by the bill. He explains how his friends and coworkers were affected by COVID and how having access to mental health services saved a few of their lives. Every aspect of this is life and death.
Sen Raphael Warnock (GA)
Called the betrayal bill “socialism for the rich,” which I really love because Republicans are so anti-socialism, maybe if they see this wording, it will inspire them to think twice.

And finally…
(MA)
Has been updating a thread all day with the play-by-play of what’s going on. I know I usually post the whole thing, but since it’s ongoing, I can’t really do that. But if you click on the BlueSky preview, you’ll be taken to the full thread even if you don’t have an account.
So those are just a very small handful of today’s fighters. And I hope you’re fighting too. I hope you’re raising up their voices more than just from this post. This is our biggest chance to delay this thing!
If you made it to the end of this post, comment with ☀️ (sun) cause I don’t know about you, but I’m excited for the DNC’s organizing summer
And if you watched it or read any of the stories, comment with what you learned and ⏲️ (timer,) cause time is running out to get enough Rs to vote no
Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them, and we must use them now more than ever!

Rep Suzanne Bonamici (OR-01)— describes the cuts to Medicaid as “catastrophic”. One in 3 Oregonians are covered by Medicaid (OHA). Home healthcare professionals are worried, not just about their own jobs, but whether their patients will receive the care that they need.
