It’s late and I’m both tired and overwhelmed because there is just so much our Dems are doing and I can’t keep up with it all. It boggles my mind that anyone can say they’re not doing anything.
So here’s some of the things!
Rep Bill Foster (IL-11)
Made a post promoting the vaccines. It’s so important that our members of Congress do this as often as possible because anyone who can get them should and those who choose to be less safe, shouldn’t be able to dictate if the rest of us get them.
Rep Lori Trahan (MA-03)
Posted a clip speaking during the House Energy and Commerce Committee “Big Bad Billionaire Bill” markup. She discussed how Republicans argue that they are shifting people off the ACA and Medicaid do something else except they don’t have any sort of alternative and they’re not going to.
Even though this markup was a couple weeks ago now, I think it’s important to keep bringing up what was said cause it was 26+ hours and even if you watched the whole thing, you couldn’t absorb everything at the time.
Rep Morgan McGarvey (KY-03)
Went to Catholic cCharities of Louisville’s Sister Visitor Food Pantry, and even though a lot of people think things aren’t bad yet, their shelves are fairly empty. It’s going to be this and worse going forward if that Big Bad Billionare bill passes.

Rep John Garamendi (CA-08)
Posted a video of Fabrice Moschetti, owner of Moschetti Coffee. He is a French immigrant and the tariffs will have a huge affect on his business.
Again, I just love these videos of real people telling their real stories. It has more of an impact than coming from the elected.

Rep (CA-14)
Posted his first hundred days in review for his series under the dome. If you wanna know what he’s been up to this is a great snapshot.
And his name is in red cause he has a Substack, didn’t post this, but he posts a lot.

Rep Teresa Leger Fernandez (NM-03)
Posted about the new budget analysis on the BBB bill, which says that the outcomes will be worse during a recession and the amounts that regular people will lose and billionaires will gain is just disgustingly staggering.

And finally…
Sen Ed Markey (MA)
Was at the injunction trial for Harvard international students, which we won by the way.
It’s important to talk about it, but when are electeds can be there in person that’s even louder and more powerful.

So those are the posts I chose to share today, please don’t think for even a second that those are the only stories. And remember to amplify stories when you see them whether I see them or not.
If you made it to the end of this post comment with 🥫(tomato can) because pantry shelves should not be empty ever
And if you watched or read any of the stories comment with ☕️ (coffee) cause we need to keep raising alarm about DTs temper tariffs even though a judge ruled that they were illegal.
Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them!
Thanks for this!
There are lots of complaints about Democrats. But many of them are working hard to fight the Fascists. Happy to see two of the fighters are from MA.
There has never been a perfect political party or a perfect person. But Dems vs MAGA?
It's simple enough.
Good vs Evil.
Love vs Hate.
Food vs starvation.
Medicine vs Voodoo.
Science vs Conspiracy.
Democracy vs Oligarchy.
Sharing vs Hoarding.
Diversity vs Bigotry
Equity vs Exclusion
Inclusion vs Shunning
Woke vs Possessed
Planet vs Greed (this should be at the top)
I know we all feel a bit like Hodor, and there ain't no Jon Snow on the horizon yet. For now, we of the "figurative North" (hat tip to you and Jess Piper) must do the work ourselves. Winter is coming. We best be prepared.
I'm only on BlueSky, so I repost each clip and post I can on that platform. On most of my reposts I add my own comments (because I hope that boosts engagement) thanking the elected for caring and highlighting our struggle. I hope others are doing the same. ☕🥫
