Today sucked, today really really sucked, but my highlight was how much our Dems have been fighting back and that didn’t stop just because the god-awful bill passed.

Posted today is Daily Blueprint while Hakeem Jeffries was still doing his “Magic Minute“ (more on that later) they highlighted many of Dem Governors fighting back against the bill.
Rep Julie Johnson (TX-32)
Gave a master class in how to correct disinformation being amplified by an interviewer on CBS News Texas a few days ago. This is honestly a master class.

Rep John Garamendi (CA-08)
Posted a story from a constituent who is a nurse practitioner about how cuts to Medi-Cal will affect her job and her family. This is the perfect messaging going forward. Especially calling it Medi-Cal because technically no one’s on Medicaid in California.

Rep Linda Sanchez (CA-38)
Wrote a letter to DHS, ICE and the DHS Inspector General, demanding answers for why on June 17, ICE agents urinated on Ruben Salazar High School in her district in full view of a preschool playground.
You can say letters don’t matter, but I would not have known about the story otherwise.

So those are a small handful of today’s fighters. Our Democrats are not gonna stop fighting for us no matter what. We just need to make sure that their fight and their noise and their work is as visible and as praised as possible.
Today was a setback, but we are going to take back this country in the end.
