Another day where our Dems really are fighting back despite what many would like to believe.
Ready?
Repping the Rep: Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07)
Posted an article from The Houston Chronicle that explains why DT slashing the staff at the national weather service is so detrimental to her Houston District.
DNC ( )
posted today’s Daily Blueprint this morning. It’s a bit shorter than usual, but I STILL learned a whole bunch.
Several Medicaid and Medicare provisions, violate the Byrd rule, and you can hear all about it on the Senate Budget Committee website, which really is kept up-to-date.
Even Mike Johnson is saying Republicans will lose the house if the Senate Medicaid cuts pass, as if the house cuts will magically not lose them the house, but that’s beside the point.
Yesterday Sen Amy Klobuchar (MN) hosted a press conference with fellow Sens Tammy Duckworth (IL), Jeff Merkley (OR) and Maggie Hassan (NH) to hear from Moms Rising CEO and co-founder Christian Rohipier , Feeding America CEO Claire Babineau Fontanau, SEIU executive vice president, Leslie Frain, and American Academy of Pediatrics President, Susan Cressley about how the brutal bill will affect their work. These are the exact stories we need to be hearing to convince people to pay attention to this bill!
20 Dem AG are suing DT over terminating funds that were already awarded to state locals and institutions
This is an invaluable resource and I hope soon it will be as viral as it deserves to be! I hope I convinced you to watch starting tomorrow, or even today, they’re all available on YouTube!
(MA-07)
Has today’s Democratic Daily Download and she’s talking all about how the brutal bill would affect abortion care even in blue state, which I think a lot of people don’t realize. The Byrd rule may apply to some of the anti-abortion sections, but we don’t know yet.

Different reps have different reasons for voting to table the impeachment discussion, but I’m loving the transparency and I wanna highlight three of them.
For
Rep Eric Sorrenson (IL-17)
It was about the fact that he didn’t get a chance to read the bill and he thinks Mike Johnson wanted to create a partisan spectacle, given how he brought it to the floor.
For
Rep Stephen Lynch (MA-08)
It’s about concern over who would be presiding over the proceedings, Jim Jordans. I don’t know how but I have every faith in Jim Jordans that he would make it about Biden. He’s talented that way.
I also want to include the link to the full statement, which you can read on BlueSky, but I’m absolutely not including 9 slides, that’s just way too long to look at.
This is the part I wanna highlight:
What this tells me is we should channel our need for impeachment into making sure we win the majority back in 2026 so that Rep Jamie Raskin (MD-08) can start impeachment proceedings promptly on Jan 4, 2027.

And for
Rep Andre Carson (IN-07)
It was solely about Johnson giving them 10 minutes to read the act before voting on it and now that he is read it he feels comfortable cosponsoring.

I hope this shows you that every Democrat supports impeachment. some are just concerned that if it magically got enough votes and Republicans control it it would be a lot harder to do a successfully later.
A valid concern in my opinion.
Rep (CA-37)
Is going to be re-introducing her “Pregnant Women in Custody Act” and yesterday she just announced that this time around it will include ICE and CPB detention.
Sen Science Commerce and Transportation Dems
Led by Sen Maria Cantwell (WA) released a snapshot report on the importance of NPR and PBS on our disaster preparedness.
Rep Veronica Escobar (TX-16)
Got Republicans in the Appropriations Committee to include an amendment that prohibits ICE from deporting US citizens in the homeland security appropriations act. This shouldn’t be a big deal, but it really is.

So hell, yeah our Dems are doing the work!
If you made it to the end, comment with 👨🏼⚖️ (man with a gavel) because Jim Jordans having one scares me
And if you watched or read, any of the post, comment with what you learned and 🤰🏾 (pregnant woman) cause I’m certainly looking forward to that bill from Sydney
Our voices are a superpower, but only when we use them!
Thanks for highlighting the democrats that have reasons for tabling impeachment- they all make sense and people need to work on not assuming the worst every time someone does something they disagree with. Nothing wrong with waiting for more information before forming a judgement.
👨🏻⚖️🤰- I learned more about the reasoning behind why many Dems voted against Greene’s Articles of Impeachment and that they shouldn’t necessarily be written off as flippantly as many folks are calling for.
