If I were to tell you all the ways our Dems are fighting today, I would be up for the next 24 hours. There were so many press conferences and so many markups, so many People’s hearings, and all the countless posts about his first 100 days.
So what I want you to do, before I even share my Daily Dems is go to the socials (IG, Blue Sky, YouTube etc) and press releases of your electeds and see what they’ve been up to today. I want you to understand how hard our Dems are fighting for us today.
My head is spinning just a bit cause I can’t capture even a fraction of it. No matter what I include there are going to be hundreds, literally, of things I didn’t. And once you find out that I’m not exaggerating, make sure to hold people accountable who are screaming “do something” or saying Dems are ineffective. God knows there are things that could be done better, but my god is today an exceptionally noisy day.
Without further ado, here are a minuscule amount of today’s fighters.
Rep Nanette Barragán (CA-44)
Has today’s Democratic Daily Download and she has the honor of doing the official Democratic 100 Days post. But as I said up top, pretty much every Democrat has made their own post about the failure of the first hundred days. Check to see what your electeds said.

DNC
Have put out a newsletter post from The Blue Print! And what I realized, cause I got an email from Ken Martin this morning, is that these newsletters are expanded versions of the emails, which is brilliant because less and less people seem to be reading those.
Please subscribe! You can’t say you think the DNC is feckless if you don’t know what they’re doing, which btw, includes an organizing call tomorrow at 8pm ET.
And hey, if you still think they’re a waste of space after, which you probably won’t, at least you’re coming at it from an informed place.
Sen Elizabeth Warren (MA)
Put out her most recent newsletter from the Senate bank Democrats substack about how DT broke our economy in 100 days. It’s a really great, though horrifying, overview of what’s happened so far.
Rep Becca Balint (VA)
Announced her Free Mohsen Mahdawi Rally which happened in front of the State Department less than an hour ago. It didn’t get a whole lot of attention, but it included speeches by nine elected Dems. Sens Bernie Sanders (VT) and Chris Van Hollen (MD), and Reps Pramila Jayapal (WA-07), Rashida Tlaib (MI-12), Nydia Velásquez (NY-07), Maxwell Frost (FL-10), Ayanna Pressley (MA-07), and Maxine Dexter (OR-03).
It’s about 45 minutes, but take some time to at least watch a little bit of it. Tomorrow is his hearing and we need as many eyes on him and his kidnapping as possible.
Senate Dems
Are holding the floor AS WE SPEAK, and you can find that on C-SPAN.
But also, they posted this great video on all of the Days of Action their members have participated in. For people who don’t follow their Senators on social media, or don’t have social media, this is the perfect way to keep them informed. Now, the best thing would be if this was daily. I want to know what People’s Hearings were held, and who had a press conference. It’s possible to find all the info, but it’s not all in one place. This is the way to make it as accessible as possible.
There were two bills introduced today that won’t pass, but still matter, mostly because it gives people faith that our Dems support them, and are fighting for them. Keep in mind, the speakers at these presser are not the only ones supporting the bill, they’re just the ones who had time in their day to speak. You’ll see many electeds all over social media supporting both these bills who weren’t at the announcements.
Equality Act
Was re-introduced bicamerally. That means in the House and the Senate at the same time.
If it were to pass, it would prohibit queer discrimination. It has been introduced every year since 2015 and as Rep Chris Pappas (NH-01) says, it’s not a matter of if it’s a matter of when it passes.
The presser included speeches from: Sen Jeff Merkley (OR) as well as Rep Mark Takano (CA-39) who reintroduced it in the Senate and House respectively. There were also speeches from Sen Chuck Schumer (NY), Sen Tammy Baldwin (WI), Rep Nancy Pelosi (CA-11), Sen Cory Booker (NJ), Rep Katherine Clark (MA-05), and the aforementioned Pappas.

Medicare For All
Was also re-introduced bicamerally today. For that announcement, there were many healthcare workers present, many of whom spoke. But our congressional speakers were Sen Sanders, Rep Jayapal and Rep Debbie Dingell (MI-06)

And finally…
DNC Vice-Chair Malcolm Kenyatta
Held an Empty Chair Town Hall in Ken Calverts CA-41 district. This is one of the districts that the DNC is focusing on flipping. We love to see the DNC continuing to keep their promise of getting out of DC. And see Kenyatta featuring so prominently in that.
So far, the only Democratic candidate is former OneRepublic bassist, Tim Meyers, and hopefully, he will be holding his own town hall in the district soon.

So those are a very, very small sliver of all the things Dems have been doing today and are continuing to do as we speak.
I don’t wanna hear anyone say “do something“ today at all.
if you made it this far comment with 📢 (a bullhorn) because our Dems are making all the noise.
Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them!
Honestly, I think Malcolm Kenyatta has what it takes to make it to higher office. In fact I think when the time comes he should run for the US Senate, or so-on.
📣 Thank you as always! Ed Markey did a great video Love Actually style holding signs with all the horrible things Trump has done so far...https://www.instagram.com/reel/DJE40zZTCpA/?igsh=bGw5M2c2cTNta2d4
