Here’s what makes me excited today: 4/7 of today’s stories are about Dems I have amplified specifically in the Repping the Rep section of this series.
That means they’re putting more of a focus on social media and that is everything I hoped for!
Repping the Rep Kevin Mullin (CA-15)
Posted about the horrific SCOTUS ruling today that is letting TN’s ban on healthcare for trans youth stand. Another reminder that our Dems do care about trans lives. Here is what the Congressional Equality Caucus had to say about the ruling, which he references in the post.
Rep John Garamendi (CA-08)
Called out his Republican, California colleagues, Kevin Kylie (CA-06), and David Valadao (CA-22) for voting for the awful Budget Betrayal Bill, and breaks down exactly how many people in their districts will be affected.
If you live in their districts, your reps dont’ care about you, but Garamendi does.

Rep Jill Tokuda (HI-02)
Has today is Democratic Daily Download and it is all about Republicans trying to cut SNAP with the budget betrayal bill. But what I love is that she actually went to the store and shows exactly how much staple items cost in Hawai’i.

DNC ( )
Put out today’s “Democrats’ Daily Blueprint” and oh my god, is there a lot I didn’t know.
Comment with what you learned, but here’s mine.
Republican Senator Josh Hawley (MO) is really not okay with the budget bill cutting rural healthcare.
According to a new study published in Annals of Internal Medicine, the bill could lead to 16k premature deaths, 100k women to miss their mammograms and more than 1m Americans to skip medication A YEAR!
Yesterday, Sens Chris Murphy and Tim Kaine held “The Big Beautiful Betrayal” People’s Hearing, where we hear all sorts of testimonies against the Bill.
In Charleston South Carolina, Sen Mark Kelly (AZ) and his wife, former Rep Gabby Giffords held a “Charleston Loophole” gun violence town hall with State Senators Deon Tedder and Ed Sutton.
Lucy McBath has been posting videos with various colleagues about gun violence in honor of Gun Violence Awareness Month. This is her and Rep Joyce Beatty, but there are so many videos.
16 Democratic State Attorneys General filed a lawsuit against the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives which reversed their previous standing prohibiting Forced Reset Triggers (a thing that makes it faster to shoot a semi automatic), cause, of course they did.
Hannah’s interview with our Dem nominee for VA AG, Jay Jones
I’m so in awe of Hannah Muldavin and this news briefing and I really hope it gains traction soon!
Sen Martin Heinrich (NM)
Wants all veterans in New Mexico to know that he will make damn sure they get care regardless of their marital status or political affiliation, and his anger in this video is palpable.

Reps Kathy Castor (FL-14) joined Maxwell Frost (Fl-10)
For a visit to AdventHealth Children’s Hospital in Frost’s district, to learn how cuts to Florida Medicaid (aka SMMC) will affect them, for Save Our Hospitals Week.

And finally…
Reps Chuy Garcia (IL-04), Delia Ramirez (IL-03), Jonathan Jackson (IL-01), and Danny Davis (IL-07)
Went to conduct an oversight visit at the Broadview ICE center. Garcia explained all about the congressional ID that should automatically get them into the facility, but of course, they were denied.
And those are just a minuscule handful of today’s fighters.
Comment 🍞(bread) because it costs how much in Hawai’i????
And if you watched or read any of the stories, comment with what you learned and 🪪 (ID) because the congressional ID should automatically get them in the door, and it’s really scary that it’s not.
Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them!
🍞🪪 I learned just how much more staples cost in Hawaii - I mean, I knew their prices were higher than the continental US, but damn!
🍞 a day late because I was kayaking🛶 yesterday.
