I’m doing something new today. As you likely know, or have said yourself, at times, there is this pervasive idea that if a post from an elected isn’t viral, it must not be a very good post.
It’s funny, cause people fully understand political content being suppressed for influencers, but when it’s about politicians, most people seem to forget.
So before the link, I’ve written how many likes the post has on Blue Sky. The numbers may surprise you, and hopefully this theory is put to bed once and for all.
And of course, please comment below with your favorite fighters of the day!
Rep Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37)
She doesn’t get nearly enough love, but she has a series called “Is This Shit Legal?” and it is truly spectacular.
It’s engaging and informative, which are two of the most important things when it comes to spreading important information.
Yesterday’s episode was about the very illegal birthright citizenship order.
I promise you, this is a must watch.

DNC Chair Ken Martin
He is now on the Wisconsin leg of the “Organizing Everywhere Tour.” He spent the day helping knock doors for Judge Susan Crawford. I know everyone is focused on Florida, but electing Judge Crawford to the state Supreme Court will determinesif Wisconsin continues its trajectory to being a democratic state again or if Republicans get to resume their takeover. We need this Supreme Court seat.
I am so glad Ken is there.

DNC Co-Vice Chair Malcolm Kenyatta
And Ken isn’t the only member of DNC putting in incredible work today. Malcolm Kenyatta put out a video explaining exactly how Project 2025 has been implemented so far, it is absolutely a must-watch.
It’s engaging, informative and, the more swearing right now, the better.

Rep Mike Thompson (CA-04)
On Thursday, Feb 27 from 2-4pm, his Kelseyville saffers will be holding open office hours for constituents.
If he is your representative, and you live in the area, come with questions and comments and stories. Make sure he is as informed as possible.
And if he isn’t your representative, this is a great thing to ask your representative to start next when you call their office!

Rep Dave Min (CA-47)
He led a round table with Orange County, CA community leaders about how SoCal environmental projects and organizations are being affected by the illegal “pausing” of federal funding.

Rep Sara Jacobs (CA-50)
She met with trans service members, both recently fired and former, from SPARTA Pride on how they are being affected by the executive order banning them from service and what it’s like to be a trans person in the military.

Sen Elissa Slotkin (MI)
She was in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula today at one of the highest-ranked VA facilities in the country to learn how they specifically have been affected by the cuts.

Nanette Baragán (CA-44)
She attended the March and Rally for Immigrant Rights in Wilmington, CA today.
She also used this video to speak about “Know Your Rights.”
It’s quite a powerful video, especially with so many people protesting in the background.

Rep Seth Magaziner (RI-02) and Rep Gabe Amo (RI-01)
Indivisible Rhode Island held the Fight Back, Give Back Rally at the Rhode Island State House today. Both reps representing the state, Magaziner and Amo, not only attended, but also spoke.
Here is Seth’s post

And finally
Sen Chuck Schumer (NY)
He held a strategy meeting with New York labor leaders to brainstorm the best ways to fight the GOP and their goal of destroying the middle and lower class. This is truly where he shines the most.

So I hope this finally puts to bed the idea that if Democrats just had better content, they’d go viral.
At this point, I have zero patience for that argument, and I hope, after reading this whole post, you feel the same.
Remember, it’s on us to make our electeds’ voices heard. It shouldn’t be this way, but well, life isn’t fair.
Our voices are superpower, but only when we use them!
