Sen Angus King (ME)
Spoke on the Senate floor about the harmful rescission package and explained more about it on the Capitol steps. Remember this has to be voted on by Friday so call your senators now if you wanna save PBS and NPR, and their disaster warning systems!
The package passed through a proceedural vote today, and JD Vance had to break the tie, meaning, we only need ONE more Republican to vote no (Thom Tillis maybe?) CALL YOUR SENATORS!
DNC Vice Chair Malcolm Kenyatta
Is the future of the Democratic Party, and I got to interview him today. He said so many amazing things, but here are two quotes that stood out to me.
“To get involved with the party, you don’t have to lack frustration with the party”
“Institutions, they don’t disappear because we’re not involved with them”
If you watch this interview and still don’t have faith in the DNC, I really don’t know what to tell you.

Things are changing with
House Oversight Dems
For starters, they are now on all socials. And their first post on threads was introducing their members. I know a lot of people were frustrated when Rep Robert Garcia (CA-42) was elected, but I hope you’re seeing that changes already happening, and the future looks bright.
I normally put the whole thread here, but there are over a dozen members, so I implore you to read this whole thread yourself, and learn about our incredible fighters.

Posted right before the House Dems forced a vote on Rep Ro Khanna’s (CA-17) amendment to release the Epstein file. This is absolutely the first of many votes and I think Ansari does a great job breaking down how they did this.

wrote protest lyrics to Jason Isbell’s “Dreamsicle” demanding the release of the files. I love how he’s taking us on his journey of learning guitar and I can’t wait for a full protest album. Music is one of the best ways to fight back of them all.
