First, I just wanna say thank you so much for all the birthday messages. I couldn’t possibly respond to all of them, but I want you to know that I really appreciate every single one!
Now, onto our fighters! It’s a very Senate heavy edition for obvious reasons!
Repping the Rep: Wesley Bell (MO-01)
Represents MO-01 and he is this week’s #ReppingTheRep. I know a lot of people have preconceived notions, but at least try to leave them at the door? I think you might find that you like a lot of things about him.
For instance, this weekend, he did door-to-door canvassing letting St. Louis residence know how to apply for FEMA support, and helping them do so, since they finally got the funding over a month after the tornado. It reminds me of something Rep Dave Min (CA-47) would do.

Rep Nanette Barragán (CA-44)
Joined Indivisible South Bay for Rally for Our Port Community. The protest wasn’t a super large one, but she was there anyway, and I love that.
Rep Mary Gay Scanlon (PA-05)
Stood in front of a Supreme Court, literally under construction, to explain how truly ridiculous the end to federal injunctions really is, especially because that’s not even what they were supposed to be ruling on.

Is reminding us of our power, saying we have to keep contacting our senators and our representatives and do everything in our power to make sure this betrayal bill doesn’t pass.

Sen Amy Klobuchar (MN)
Got teary-eyed on the Senate floor, talking about the betrayal bill,
but part of the reason is because she and Sen Tina Smith (MN) had to stay in Washington instead of going to MN House Speaker, Melissa Hortman’s funeral. It’s really cruel when the Republicans chose to force this.
Rep (CA-37) was joined by Rep Pramila Jayapal (WA-07)
For this weeks episode of “Is This Shit Legal” where the answer is always no. You don’t have to be a lawyer to know that DT continuing to use the Alien Enemies Act is still completely illegal.
And yes, that does matter maybe not today, but it will come January 4, 2027.

So those are just some of today’s fighters I could’ve been working on this for 24 hours and had dozens more stories and not even scratch the surface of the fighting that our Dems are doing. From Sen Chuck Schumer (NY) making the clerks read the whole bill to Sens Tammy Baldwin (WI) and Klobuchar doing a sit in with those who will be affected by the Medicaid cuts on the Capitol steps a few hours ago. The list is long.
