I was talking with my friend, and she made me realize that the goal of this series is for people to fight from a place of hope rather than exclusively a place of panic. For some people, the panic works, but I think the hope is more productive.
Here are today’s fighters!
Rep Chris Deluzio (PA-17)
Announced that his district’s FEMA request has been released over a month after filing it. I can’t find this anywhere so I’m really glad he used his platform to share it.
And I suspect he probably had something to do with it as well.

Rep Jimmy Gomez (CA-34)
Held a virtual roundtable with LA County gaming and content creators on Thursday. It’s so important to get their point of view and learn how best they can help with the fight to save democracy.

Rep Delia Ramirez (IL-03)
Spoke in a committee meeting this week about being the child of immigrants and how they are the foundation of this country. No one has the right to determine what it means to be American. Especially not him.

DNC Vice-Chair Malcolm Kenyatta
Spoke at an empty chair town hall in John Joyce’s PA–13 Adams County District, one of the reddest districts in Pennsylvania. And it looks like he got a pretty big crowd. And, while he’s spoken at many empty chair town halls, at this point, for this one, he’s wearing two hats, state rep, though not exactly super local, PA is his state, and, of course, DNC Vice Chair.

Meanwhile…
DNC Chair Ken Martin
Was on Fox News. And I think this is a must-watch. He explains things so eloquently and hopefully you’ll really understand where the DNC is coming from.

Speaking of eloquent explanations
Sen Kirsten Gillibrand (NY)
Spoke about DT yet again slashing the World Trade Center health program. And especially for people who didn’t live through 9/11, this explains why the program is so important.
And yes, I know a lot of people are not very impressed with her, but this series is about amplifying our fighters no matter how many or how few times they fight. The idea is, the more we amplify them for doing the right thing, they more they do the right thing. And this is absolutely the right thing.

And finally…
Rep Becca Balint (VT)
Posted a video to remind us to make as big a deal out of DT saying he doesn’t know if he will follow the constitution as possible. Because that is quite literally part of the oath he took when he was inaugurated. And there are still some Republicans who do value the constitution and maybe this is the push they need.

So those are some of today’s fighters.
If you made it to the end, comment with 🎮 (gaming console) cause I think finding a way to bring in the game. Our community is so important.
And if you watched any of the videos or read any of the articles, with 🦊 (a fox) because we wanna see as many of our Democrats on Fox News as possible
Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them!
The HOPE is why I follow you! Almost every other account trying to be “ informative “ is overwhelming. I’m over people throwing every terrifying move up on their stories and never offering a single positive action or person. I’ve unfollowed many accounts that I’ve loved for a long time so that I can stay sane enough to gather my wits and do something. You’re doing VITAL work. Thank you!!!
Thank you for all you do to spread hope 💜
