It is so important for us to drown out the negative comments under our electeds posts for not being perfect. As I always say, perfect perfection is the enemy of progress. And we have so many fighters fighting for progress every single day.
Here are some of them!
Repping the Rep: Chris Pappas (NH-01)
Gave an impassioned speech on the Veterans Affairs Servicing Purchase Program, which DT ended last week, that will yet again force, many vets to foreclose on their homes, and likely end up houseless. Pappas isn’t as feisty as some members, so when he calls something cruel, it’s a pretty loud rebuke.
Rep Brendan Boyle (PA-02)
Has today’s Democratic Daily Download. It is all about a new bill, Hands Off Medicaid and SNAP Act. The bill is led by Angie Craig (MN-02), Frank Pallone Jr. (NJ-06), Greg Casar (TX-35), Brad Schneider (IL-10), Lou Correa (CA-46), and of course, Boyle himself.
Of course, it’s not likely to go anywhere, but it is important that we put Republicans on the record opposing these bills, if that’s what they end up doing, as much as possible. If they’re doing to do these horrific and draconian things, it’s not going to be behind closed doors.
Reps Becca Balint (VT) and Delia Ramirez (IL-03)
Went live today for the WTFShow. You can just tell within the first few seconds that they are really good friends, and that makes this video incredibly engaging.
They focus on how we can’t normalize anything that’s going on. The admin is flooding the zone because they think they can sneak things in that we won’t notice, but they must not succeed in doing that.
Every WTF episode is worth a watch, but this one is definitely not one you wanna miss.
Rep Steven Horsford (NV-04)
Refused to let Trade Representative Ambassador Jamieson Greer get away with saying he doesn’t know what DT is doing about trade, cause he hasn’t met with him.
He kept pushing and pushing, making sure everyone heard how Greer didn’t know anything about his own job. He got so impassioned by the end that he was almost kicked out of the hearing room.
Watch the whole speech, you can find it in the YouTube video below. This is one of those videos that should get AirPlay over and over and over again.

Rep Jahana Hayes (CT-05)
Spoke about LGBTQIA+ students the way only a former teacher could. If you are queer, and you are scared right now, even if you don’t watch any other video in this post, make this one you watch.
She makes it abundantly clear that teachers don’t force their kids to be anything. They just make sure their kids are supported and protected.
Sen Adam Schiff (CA)
Has introduced his first bill. It’s a bill to help those, who experience disasters, rebuild with materials that have the best chance of their home surviving the next one.
I know so many people are livid this is his first bill, because how can anything matter when DT is destroying the country, but the thing is, Kentucky is flooded right now, North Carolina is still rebuilding, Los Angeles is still rebuilding. Natural disasters, and disasters created by the climate crisis aren’t waiting for politics to be more manageable, are not waiting for us to be able to handle their destruction.
This is a bipartisan bill with Tim Sheehy (MT), meaning it kinda has a chance of passing, at least the Senate. These disasters are going to become more and more frequent, and before they get worse, making it possible to rebuild DOES matter.
Also, just because this is the first bill he’s introduced, does not mean it’s the first bill he’s supporting. he’s co-sponsored many.
I’m not even including this cause I think it’s an important bill, though, you can already see that I think it is. In the past few days we’ve started seeing electeds using videos as press releases in terms of letters they’ve written, but I think this might be the first video I’ve seen announcing a bill, and that’s notable.
This is the kind of transparency we want from every single elected.
Sorry this section is so long, I’m responding to the comments I saw flooding his comment section before I get them here too.

DNC Chair Ken Martin
Spoke on a panel about exactly how we’re going to compete in the influencer ecosystem. The comment section is flooded with people who just want Democrats to fail. but the only way for us to be on offense is to outcompete R in the social media landscape. And it seems like Ken really has a plan to do that.
And yeah, that means paying influencers to spread the Democratic message. That means paying someone like me to do what I’m already doing, so maybe I have the ability to hire an assistant or use one of the cross posting subscription services so I’m not spending hours copying and pasting. Or maybe have an exclusive that I post before everyone else so hopefully it spreads farther than if an MSM got it first.
One of our most concerning problems is that our side shames people for making a living. If we do this full time and actually get paid for it, we must be a schill.
We must start combatting this disinformation right now so that Ken’s strategy can be as impactful as possible.
Sen Ron Wyden (OR)
Has put a block on a block Sean Plankey, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency nominee. The only way he won’t block unanimous consent is if he sees a report on a widespread telecommunications espionage campaign that most companies have stayed totally silent on for three years.
It’s important to note that holds have conditions attached. For instance, the cuts to the VA are reversed and all VA employees return to work, Gallego will remove his hold on VA nominees.
It’s basically an ultimatum. Each member who denies unanimous consent for any number of things is demanding something in return for allowing the unanimous to go through the next time. That’s also why you won’t see every Dem denying everything. They need to have a demand. Will that demand be met, probably not, so, for the purposes of this Admin, all these holds are likely indefinite.
And finally…
Minority Leader Rep Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08)
Has challenged Johnson to a debate on the House floor. I saw some comments that actually said “think out of the box” on the IG post announcing this. This IS thinking out of the box. And I really hope he shows up, whether Johnson does or not, and just starts talking.
He has the affect of a spoken word artist. If Johnson shows up, he should be very scared, if not, then Jeffries needs to just do what he does best. I mean, does everyone remember the ABCs of Democracy from the longest Speaker Vote in history?
And those are just some of today’s fighters. I know this is a little bit longer than usual, I hope that’s OK, I couldn’t leave any of these out.
If you made it this far comment 🥊 cause that’s what Jeffries will do to Johnson
Our voices are superpower, but only when we use them!
Wow, all great!! Agree we must drown out the negative comments a good percentage of which are bots anyway intending harm
