Is this week’s Repping The Rep! He represents IL-11. He has been in office since 2008 when he flipped a Republican seat. And he is a former physicist. I hope you enjoy getting to know him throughout the week!
Today he made a post about AANHPI HeritageMonth, which I love because, a lot of people acknowledge it towards the beginning of the month, but not as much towards the end.

I want to share the work of a neighbor, Kathryn Pollak, and her incredible work managing a local Indivisible group, Engaged Durhamites for Democracy.
Last Saturday we had the occasional in person meeting and a bunch of folks attended. She is always such a gracious host.
Each day she sends out her Substack share. Under her leadership, she either organized/founded the local Tesla takedown, two weekly bridge over local highway (I40 and Durham Freeway) rallies, the RDU Avelo rallies, various corner rallies, canvasses, and helps collaborate on 50501 events at the Durham Bull in downtown.
She also weaves in life advice on how to approach all of this, given her personal/professional background.
Plus she is active in Durham Co Dem Precinct 4 and helped host one one of our recent meetings. Our new Durham Dems Chair, Emerson Kirby, also hails from Precinct 4.
