It’s day two without access to my Meta accounts hopefully my access will be restored soon (soon being at least 4 days)
I know that doesn’t matter to anyone here, but I did have the most followers there, and so, I had the most reach, so not having it is quite a blow to my ability to make a difference. Hopefully, I still am.
Here are today’s fighters!
Repping the Rep: Grace Meng (NY-06)
Is the chair of The Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus and today they launched their new series called “Spill the Tea.” Their first guest is the newest Asian Member Of Congress, and the only Vietnamese member Rep Derek Tran (CA-45)
They discussed the VA and vets working in the federal government in general as well as the 50th anniversary of the Fall of Saigon, which, if you don’t know what that is, all the more reason to watch this conversation. And it’s only 7 minutes, so you have time.

Rep Suhas Subramanyam (VA-10)
Has today’s Democratic Daily Download. He’s a dad so the hardest way that tariffs are hitting him is with things that his kids need, like certain foods, for instance.
Rep Jerry Nadler (NY-12)
Spoke at yesterday’s UnXeptable protest in NYC against Ben Gvir and the war in Gaza. The best way to describe Uxeptable is Israeli’s 50501, if it was started by ex-pats. It was started back when Bibi took power again in Jan 2023 and they have been fighting for Israeli Democracy ever since.
At the protest, Nadler announced he will be introducing new legislation to combat violence in the West Bank.
Sydney Kamlager Dove (CA-37)
Posted a new episode of my favorite series, “Is This Sh*t Legal” with another group of Dem Women Caucus members.
She asked Rep Maxine Dexter (OR-03) about the Admin removing vital health info from government websites.
Rep Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL-23) about the Admin gutting the Department of Education and specifically the office dedicated to the civil rights of students, which falls under Title IX.
And Rep Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) about DT’s illegal edict attempting to block married women from voting among other things. In good news, most of the edict was blocked by a court order yesterday, and the rest needs to be refiled by the states (which has already happened)
If you guessed that none of this shit is legal, you’d be correct.

DNC
Have three huge announcements today
First, they’ve started a new newsletter from their Blue Print SubStack called “Ground Game“ which will be a short newsletter once a week, I assume, That includes around three calls to action. This is the best way to stay on top of what the DNC is doing and what our actions should be. It’s a must subscribe.
Second, is a new Republican Accountability Social Media Toolkit.
So, everything they post on social media can be reposted by you on any of your platforms with just one click. It’s great for non-influencers to easily share things with friends and followers.
And the last thing from the DNC is a National Organizing Call on Zoom this coming Wednesday, April 30. The previous organizing calls have been on YouTube, but Zoom is probably the safer option. I will, of course, be attending, so you will have a summary after regardless.
MA Sen Ed Markey, and MA Reps Ayanna Pressley (MA-07) and Jim McGovern (MA-02)
Wrote a guest essay for the New York Times about their experience visiting Rümeysa Öztürk in the Louisiana detention center. It’s a chilling piece, but it is a must read.
Rep Fredericka Wilson (FL-24)
Visited the Krome ICE facility yesterday. According to her, it hasn’t changed in the 40+ years since she went to learn about the conditions the first time. Also across the board on every social, the comments under this post are atrocious, so please give it some love!
And finally…
Sen Elizabeth Warren (MA)
Is opening an investigation, with her Save Our Schools campaign, to learn about the impact of the department of education, cuts on students, teachers, and families. If you have a story to share, submit it here.
And as usual, this is just a fraction of the Dems doing the work today.
If you made it to the end of this post comment 🧊 (ICE) because, we can’t stop fighting against their unlawful facilities and abductions
Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them !
Appreciate you work. 🧊.
