She joins the other original cosponsors Sens. Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) and Reps. Tom Cole (R-OK-04), Rosa DeLauro (D-CT-03), and Pete Stauber (R-MN-08) along with the new cosponsors this time, Sens. John Hickenlooper (D-CO) and Jerry Moran (R-KS), and Reps. Diana DeGette (D-CO-01) and (R-NC-09)
If it passed, it would order studies investigating the conditions that are concurrent with downs syndrome in order to understand the disease better, and how to help those with it live more fulfilling lives,
Sen Dick Durbin (IL)
Has decided that if something is good enough for Senator JD Vance then it’s good enough for him. Before Vance, you could only put a hold on an attorney if you were from that state using a blue slip, but Vance did it for a state. He wasn’t from, so Durbin is too. His hold is on the nomination for the US attorney for the Southern District of FL, Jason Reding Quiñones.
And he’s reserving the right to do this again and again. Welcome to the fight Durbin!
