Today has been a huge day of Republicans making noise???? that helps us??? so while you were focused on MTG and EM, you might’ve missed what our Dems are up to.
So here are some of our fighters who actually do have our best interest at heart, unlike those other guys making noise.
Repping the Rep: Jill Tokuda (HI-02)
Spoke at the Hawai’i State Association of Letter Carriers convention last week. With DT trying to privatize USPS, it’s more important to support our letter carriers than ever. And, this is something Rep Tokuda has been doing a lot since January.

Rep Sylvia Garcia (TX-29)
Has today’s Democratic Daily Download and she filmed it at the Houston Food Bank. She talks about how many people get food from that food bank and it’s almost 1,000,000.
Most of those people are on SNAP and could lose their benefits with the Republican Big Bad Billionaire Bill.

Reps Eleanor Holmes Norton (DC Del.) and Maxwell Frost (FL-10)
Introduced the REAL ID Gender Requirement Reform Act yesterday, which would leave it up to the states if gender gets included on the new REAL IDs at all. And if the state does have it, they have to have a gender, neutral marker option.
In a statement Rep Holmes Norton said:
Under the REAL ID Act, gender must be included on a license. This can be problematic for transgender or nonbinary individuals. I recognize that some LGBTQ individuals do not want gender designations on licenses at all, while others do want gender designations so they can express their identity. This bill strikes the middle ground, while showing Congress’ support for LGBTQ people. Thank you to Rep. Frost for joining me in leading this important bill.
And Rep Frost added:
As the LGBTQ+ community faces daily attacks on their identity and very existence from the Trump Administration and conservative led states, I am proud to stand with Congresswoman Norton to ensure that transgender and nonbinary folks can have licenses that reflect their true selves. This bill is about showing support and solidarity with a community that has already overcome so much to live openly. Making it law that an ID will not become another barrier for our LGBTQ+ neighbors is the very least we can do.
What a great bill to introduce during PRIDE.
Rep Veronica Escobar (TX-16)
Fact-checked OMB director, Russell Vought’s lies about the big bad billionaire bill in a really detailed thread
Rep Troy Carter (LA-02)
Posted a video talking about how terrible the Big Bad Billionaire bill is, but all the quotes and videos he used were from Republican Thomas Massie. This is a great video to show Republican friends and family. If you want to get them to understand how bad this bill is.

Rep Mark Takano (CA-39)
Has been trying to run for Congress since 1994, but at that time you couldn’t win if you were queer. It may not feel like we’ve come that far, but Takano’s story just proves how far we truly have come.
And hopefully where we are now we’ll feel the same way in a few decades.

And finally….

Is on the AIDS Lifecycle ride. Yesterday was the first day. And he’s keeping us in the loop of how the journey is going. Please comment supportive things on his posts. A lot of people think he shouldn’t be doing this right now because they don’t understand what the ride is.
So those are just some of our fighters today
If you made it to the end of this post comment with 💌 (envelope with a heart) cause it hasn’t been in the news as much, but we have to support our letter carriers
And if you watched or read any of the stories comment with ⁉️ cause well I guess we have to applaud our Republicans for helping our cause (and before you comment, this is mostly sarcastic)
Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them!
My friend is a massage therapist on the AIDS lifecycle ride!!!
Thank you for posting these. It is infuriating to see people online screaming “Dems are spineless”, “corporate Dems”, etc.
