A lot of today’s stories are massive and are getting very little attention. In fact, I typically put this list in order of who’s post has the most views on their Threads , if they have one. The final fighter today has 10.6k views on their Threads post. The fighter before them only has 2k.
So, you know what to do, help me amplify these incredible fighters!
Repping the Rep: Chris Pappas (NH-01)
Is in a unique position. The SAVE Act has essentially already been implemented in his state. So he knows firsthand that it doesn’t work. I’m really glad he’s choosing to bring attention to that.
And here’s an article showing how much it doesn’t work. If you have a Senator you’re worried might vote for it, or one of the 4 reps who did (Golden, Cuellar, Gluesenkamp-Perez or Case), maybe send this article to them. It might make them realize how truly awful this bill is.
WTF Show
Six dem reps got off the floor of the house after voting against the horrific bills today and almost instantly went live with WTFShow on a variety of subjects. I really wish the WTFShow had as much attention on it as it deserves. It’s basically anywhere from 1-4 press new media press conferences three days of the week. These should be the most watched political videos on IG Wed, Thurs and Fri.
Reps Joe Morelle (NY-25) and Terri Sewell (AL-07)
Had a conversation about the SAVE act. And if you’ve been watching this series all week, you know how much Morelle cares about this bill disappearing forever.
So he is the perfect person to be part of this conversation.
Reps Bennie Thompson (MS-02) and Troy Carter (LA-02)
Discussed the budget cuts and the blueprint and everything surrounding the Republican attempt to destroy the programs that keep money alive and give billionaires a tax cut.
Reps Ayanna Pressley (MA-07) and Yassamin Ansari (AZ-03)
spoke all about the horrific immigration situation and the war on reproductive rights.

Had today’s Democratic Daily Download. Today’s episode was about a shadow hearing led by Minority Leader Rep Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08) in the Stearing a Policy Committee on the cuts to vets’ care.
I can tell you, without a shadow of a doubt, I wouldn’t have known about this had it not been for it being in today’s download. That doesn’t mean we didn’t get notice, but I can’t see everything, so I didn’t know about it. This is one reason why I call this series “the new media press conference.”

House Monopoly Busters Caucus

The caucus will “fight corporate power and promote a pro worker, pro consumer, pro small business agenda”
This is a pretty great group of fighters fighting for a crucial cause that’s now even more important than ever.

House Dems Rapid Response Taskforce and Litigation Working Group
Has filed their third amicus brief. This means they are getting involved in a third court case. This one being about defending the independence of federal agencies. Specifically, the Merrit Systems Protections Board, and National Labor Relations Board. Where, Cathy Harris and Gwynne Wilcox, respectively have been forced out by the Admin and ordered to return to work by a judge, more times than DT has been impeached.
Sens Ruben Gallego (AZ) and Adam Schiff (CA)
Suspect that DT’s entire tariff fiasco was actually a way to make those in Congress, and his supporters, who participate in insider trading, richer, and it’s not like DT didn’t literally post the proof yesterday.
They’re starting with sending a letter asking “Is what we think happened actually what happened?” Of course they don’t expect a response, but as the first step, they at least need to make them aware that we know what they did. With these two at the helm, I can’t wait to see where this goes from there.

Rep Jared Huffman (CA-02)
Has a new episode of The Flip Side. Republicans are trying to pass the SAVE Act and make it harder to vote, and impossible for some. Meanwhile, Elias Law Group filed a lawsuit on behalf of The DNC, Minority Leaders Sen Chuck Schumer (NY) and Rep Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08), The Democratic Congressional Campaign Comittee, The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Comittee and the Democratic Governors Association against DT’s EO trying to control elections, which is very much not in the powers of the presidency.
