Today starts the two-week In District Work Period (AKA Recess,) for the House and Senate. That means your elected officials are back home. Find out their schedules and show up.
Here are today’s fighters
Repping the Rep: Chris Pappas (NH-01)
Posted about how his staff held the second pop-up passport fair. The SAVE act will not pass the US Senate, but they already have it in NH, and it’s already keeping people from voting in town elections. So, it is so vital that they make the process as easy as humanly possible.
Rep Lauren Underwood (IL-14)
Has today’s Democratic Daily Download. Some episodes include what’s being done and some are just educating the viewers about what’s happening. Today, Underwood makes sure everyone knows what DT’s budget plans are and how he plans to raise taxes on the average American.
Sen Ed Markey (MA) and Minority Whip Rep Katherine Clark (MA-05)
Are holding an activist fair tomorrow because it’s not just about Q&A. Clark was on Chris Jansing this morning and said:
Tomorrow, I'm holding a town hall with Senator Ed Markey, and we're calling it an 'Activist Fair,' because not only are we going to take questions and answer to our constituents, but we're going to give people options on how they can get involved.
And this is what gives me hope in this bleak time: that the people of this country, the people — not Democrats, not Republicans, not independents, not the way we like to slice us up — but our neighbors, our communities are coming together and saying: 'Put us first.
Reps Sydney Kamlager Dove (CA-37) and Jennifer McClellan (VA-04)
Went live with the WTFShow to discuss what they call the “Republican naughty list” and if that title doesn’t pique your interest, I don’t know what will
above is a clip from McClellan’s socials. Below is the full conversation.

Rep Maxwell Frost (FL-10)
Has been working with Coachella for years now. Back in 2023 he spoke during Global Inheritance’s Speaker Series, and, this year, he did it again. This time with Tennessee Three State Rep, Justin Jones.
I can’t find any recording of them speaking, but I do hope it was well attended and inspired people to get involved that might not otherwise!
Reps Steven Horsford (NV-04) and Terri Sewell (AL-07)
Lead 131 other Dems in demanding answers about why it seems like the tariff reversal had everything to do with encouraging insider trading.
Remember, if your Dem Rep hasn’t signed, that probably just means they don’t know about it. So if you are going to one of their events in the next two weeks, make sure to ask them to sign on. Hell…there might be some Republicans who might sign on too. There are a few very loudly against insider trading as well. I know Rob Bresnahan (PA-08) was one, in fact he ran on it, maybe someone should remind him of that.
DNC
Have announced more town halls in red states and districts. For the record, even though they’re not announcing it every day, there are more added pretty much every day. I recommend bookmarking this web page, and checking back every couple days to see what districts have been added!
And, please give the DNC credit for this. We need to keep driving home that this is not the old DNC and they are absolutely doing the work.
And finally…
Last night CNN hosted a town hall with
Reps Jahana Hayes (CT-05), Derek Tran (CA-45)
As well as two Republicans. If you have cable, you can watch it here
But Hayes did post several clips on her socials. The one below is about vaccinations and how dangerous RFK Jr. is. As a former teacher, this is incredibly personal to her.
So those are just a small handful of today’s fighters. I had more, but I’ll have to include them tomorrow because for my mental health, I can’t make this post too long.
If you made it to the end, comment 💉 (syringe) cause there’s been so much going on that the necessity of vaccines has not gotten as much airplay as it should have recently
Our voices are superpower, but only when we use them!
Thank you, as always!...
