Happy Monday! Hope you’re feeling energized after Saturday and ready to see what our fantastic Dems are up to. Today is pretty hearing heavy. So let’s get started!
Repping the Rep: Kevin Mullin (CA-15)
Posted a clip from his question during the House Energy and Commerce Committee “Fiscal Year 2026 Department of Energy Budget Hearing” a week ago, And he talked about how Republicans want to get rid of all the programs that make utilities more affordable for everyday Americans. Energy Star being one of many examples.
You can watch the full hearing below, it is set to begin at the start of Mullin’s question.

DNC ( )
Have today’s Daily Blueprint and as always, I learned a lot.
Sen Alex Padilla (CA) led all Senate Dems in a letter demanding the Marines and National Guard leave LA.
2. The Bloomington, Minnesota vet peoples town hall from Friday was a huge success.
Iowans have been protesting outside Joni Ernst's office after her insulting comments at her town hall and doubling down after.
So as always, this was definitely worth the time it took to watch it!
Rep Stacey Plasket (Virgin Islands Del.)
Has today’s Democratic Daily Download and it’s about Caribbean American Heritage Month.
You might think well, why does that matter right now? Well, it matters because DT’s travel ban includes Haiti. It matters because Caribbeans are being picked up by ICE. It matters because celebrating our diversity matters now more than ever.

Rep Gregory Meeks (NY-05)
Sent a letter to Rubio demanding to know why exactly he said in a May 21 House Foreign Affairs Committee Hearing that “no one has died“ because of the cuts to USAID.
And a reminder, as always, that these letters are important because they are a paper trail. And this will make it so much easier to investigate him when we gain agenda-setting power on January 3, 2027
Rep Don Beyer (VA-08)
Called out the admin for not caring who gets hurt as the economy is destroyed in a House Ways and Means Committee Hearing with Secretary of Treasury, Scott Bessent.
You can also watch the full hearing below, which is set to begin at the start of Beyer’s question.

Rep Becca Balint (VT)
Raises the alarm about the section of the budget bill that deregulates gun silencers, because of course, Republicans are doing that.
There are a lot of horrific things in this bill, but given what happened this weekend, and the fact that it’s Gun Violence Awareness Month, that one sounds pretty important.

And finally…
Rep Dan Goldman (NY-10)
Shamed Republicans, explicitly James Comer, in the middle of the sham hearing with Democratic governors last Thursday. After Comer made an intentionally inflammatory statement about Padilla mere hours after he was assaulted by DHS.
And this is the full hearing, but it starts with Gov JB Pritzker’s comments, so you can see the full exchange, which includes Rep Delia Ramirez (IL-03) showing the video of Padilla’s assault.

And those are just some of today’s fighters! I know that most of these stories are from other days, but almost all of them were posted on social media today, which is the making noise part.
If you’re reading this comment with 💡(lightbulb) because Republicans want to raise the cost of our utilities.
And if you watched or Reed any of the posts comment with ⚰️ (coffin) because yes, people are dying because of the cuts to USAID even if Rubio refuses to admit it.
Our voices ar our superpower, but only when we use them!
