Late tonight, Sen Chris Murphy (CT) went live on IG. During that live he explained that one of our biggest powers is to make noise. It may feel like that’s “not doing anything” but he says that by making noise we drown out the other side, and make them regret their decision to latch their wagon to those ideals, in some small cases, which is all we need, enough to unlatch the wagon, as it were. He said this is what saved Obamacare in 2017, and this is what is going to save the country in 2025. So, yes, making noise IS fighting back, and it IS doing the work, and it’s not our only play and we want Dems to do more, but it IS doing something, a lot of something.
With that said…
Sen Chris Murphy (CT)
Sen Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE)
She released a press release on IG and will no longer vote to confirm a single DT nominee. If you called her, this is a result of your calls. If you thought your calls didn’t do anything, I hope you feel differently now.
Sen Chris Van Hollen (MD)
He spoke at not one, but two press conference today. The first was for public education outside the Capitol
Ezra Levin, the co-founder of Indivisible was on Rachel Maddow tonight and shared that the “Nobody Elected Elon” rally was confirmed on Sunday and no elected cared until we made a lot of noise along with Indivisible, Move On and Working Families Party and once that happened they couldn’t sign up to speak fast enough. In the end 33 Democrats ended up speaking, and many many more attended and posted videos on their social media. Not everyone has the attention span to watch all the speeches, but, these short videos? Those go a long way.
Rep Melanie Stansbury (NM-01)

I’m exhausted from writing that, so I’m sure you are from reading it, but yesterday it was 13 speakers in front of the USAID building and today it was 33 with over 1k people in attendance. That’s a huge jump, our noise is working!
Finally
Sen Tina Smith (MN)
continues to raise her voice in clear short videos. In this one she is explaining exactly how those with Republican Senators and house members have to make noise and contact them constantly, just like she is doing.
So that’s the list for today. A lot longer than usual, sorry about that, but it’s probably just going to get longer as the days go on, and honestly, that’s a good thing.
Don’t let anyone tell you the Dems aren’t doing the work, but also know, they are doing the work because of us. Our calls and our noise is working! So keep it up!
