So my computer is on it’s last legs. I’m only posting this here today because I can’t copy and paste to my phone, but there were some great fighters and I wanted to make sure they got the attention they deserved, or at least some attention, I’m not in a headspace to give anything the attention it deserves right now.
With my job, losing my computer in the middle of a work day out of nowhere is one of the worst things that can happen,
Anyway, here is a very quick breakdown of today’s fighters.
Repping the Rep Jill Tokuda (HI-02)
Joined Raja Krishnamoorthi (IL-08) and ironically several Republicans, who make up the select committee on the CCP to commemorate the anniversary Tiananmen Square, which could not be more timely than it is right now. These students put everything in the line for a chance at democracy and now we’re having to do the same.
You can watch the full press conference below (Though I shared it to start at Rep Tokuda’s comments)

Rep Mark Takano (CA-39)
has today’s Democratic Daily Download. He is the chair of the House Equality Caucus and he discussed reintroducing the Equality Act a couple months back. This is a reminder, yet again that Dems do care about queer people and will not abandon the queer community.

Rep Bill Foster (IL-11)
Posted a video explaining the Congressional Budget Office’s view on what the Big Bad Billionaire Bill will do to our economy, which they just released. Spoiler, it’s bad.

Rep Josh Harder (CA-09)
Takes credit for the National Weather Service getting their hiring freeze lifted in Sacramento. And I would absolutely agree. He sounded the alarm and made a big stink. DT does things like this under the radar, he doesn’t want to get caught, and when he does, a lot of the time, he reverses his decision. This is why we have to sound the alarm and embarrass him and whatever he’s trying to do as much as possible.

Rep Angie Craig (MN-02)
Joined Joe Neguse (CO-02), Chris Deluzio (PA-17), Seth Magaziner (RI-02), Emilia Sykes (OH-13), Hillary Scholten (MI-03), and Pat Ryan (NY-18) in reintroducing 6 bills that will help clean up the corruption in Congress and the presidency. This post is specifically about the “Restoring Integrity in Democracy” Resolution which would ban members of Congress from serving on any for-profit corporate board.

Sen Tim Kaine (VA)
makes fun of DT for likely using AI to make a policy decision…again. This time for creating a list of sanctuary cities, none of which actually exist in Virginia. Also, neither do any of the towns or counties he named either. Thanks to Sen Kaine bringing attention to it, the list has now been deleted. More proof that when we bring attention to his decisions, many times they go away. Brownie points if that attention embarrasses him too.

And finally….
Rep Johnny Olszewski (MD-02)
Is raising alarm about DT using Palantir to steal our data, and he’s doing something about it. Dems don’t have agenda setting power in congress, but they can raise the alarm and be annoying about it, and that’s exactly what he’s doing. He’s calling for an investigation. We all wish he could do more, him most of all, but this is the power our Dems have, and I’m sure there will be one, or probably many, Peoples Hearings on this subject.

I’m so sorry I can’t post this elsewhere. No one is more frustrated about that than me. Maybe if I do a software update I can get a few more weeks out of this. A computer shouldn’t break after 5 years but, well, that’s the world we live in.
If you made it to the end of this post comment with 🔥(fire) because, thanks to Rep Harder, there’s a better chance Northern California will be less unprepared for fire season.
And if you watched or read any of the stories comment with 🤖(robot) because that’s clearly who made that sactuary city list and frankly who is running the government.
Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them!
🔥🤖 and🤞🏻that your computer lasts a bit longer!
