It is the third anniversary of the Dobbs decision and Democrats are out in force, reminding everyone who will listen of what we’ve lost.
Here are some of those stories and more!
This post is too long for email, so, click on the title and read it on Substack rather than in your inbox (it’s too long because of the media not the words)
Repping the Rep: Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07)
Along with Reps Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) and Jamie Raskin (MD-08) re-introduced the “Ensuring Women’s Right to Reproductive Freedom Act” which would create a constitutional right to travel to another state for an abortion. It was also cosponsored by 128 of the original cosponsors when the bill was introduced and passed in the House two years ago.

Rep Judy Chu (CA-28)
Has today’s Democratic Daily Download. She announced that she along with Reps Lois Frankle (FL-22), Ayanna Pressley (MA-07) and Veronica Escobar (TX-16) have reintroduced “Women’s Health Protection Act” which would reverse Dobbs.

Have another great Daily Blueprint today!
Here’s what I learned!
The Third Way, a think tank, released a new report detailing exactly how much the betrayal bill will raise the medical debt of the average resident of each state.
Sens Patty Murray (WA), Elizabeth Warren (MA), Tammy Baldwin (WI) and Tina Smith (MN) held “Under Attack: Republicans' Escalating War on Reproductive Freedom” Peoples Hearing today. They heard from abortion providers, and others who have been impacted by Dobbs.
Hannah interviewed Julia Callahan about her miscarriage where doctors refused to give her Care in Georgia. She was also on the hill today telling lawmakers.
Rep Emily Randall (WA-06)
Sent a letter to FEMA back in April, and thanks to her letter. FEMA has reinstated funding for Westport tsunami Tower in Washington.
So no, letters are not something you should be making fun of.

Rep (NY-15)
Explains the War Powers Act, and why he will vote for it if it comes to the floor. He also acknowledges that Obama didn’t necessarily do it right either, which is especially great when Republicans try to use that as a gotcha.

Senate Budget Dems
Are keeping us informed of exactly which provisions in the Betrayal Bill violate the Byrd rule and which ones are still pending. Incredibly valuable documents to bookmark and keep as a resource over the next few days
Sen Ron Wyden (OR)
Joined SEIU for their living cemetery action to protest the likely Medicaid deaths from the Betrayal Bill.

And last, but certainly not least…
Rep Robert Garcia (CA-42)
Is the new ranking member on the House Oversight Committee. And I could not be more excited. He is the first queer immigrant elected to Congress and he has been fighting DT and the GOP every day. Rep Jasmine Crocket (TX-30) would’ve been great, but we’re in good hands with Garcia
He was interviewed by Meidas Touch shortly after the announcement:

So those are just some of today’s fighters!
If you made it to the end of this post comment with 👗(dress) because a dress hangs on a hanger and well, we are mourning the three-year anniversary since Dobbs so
And if you watched it or read any of the stories comment with 🦤 (dodo bird) because hopefully the byrd rule will make most, if not all of these provisions extinct
Our voices are our superpower, but only when we use them!

Also I will not be shocked in a couple of years if Jazmine becomes Speaker
