Daily Dems Doing the Work, Making Making Noise and Fighting Back Day 1
Because we aren't actually alone
Everyday I see people spreading that Dems are doing nothing, everyone is just rolling over. And that couldn’t be further from the truth.
But don’t feel bad if you’ve fallen for that, that’s by design. They want us divided. They want us to feel helpless and alone.
So I’m going to try changing that. This is a new daily series with the Dems who are fighting back. You’ll learn quickly that we have significantly more fighters than you might think.
Patty Murray (WA Sen)
Murray introduced a resolution cosponsored by ALL 47 Senate Dems, and yes, that includes Fetterman. It’s very simple “Resolved, That the Senate disapproves of any pardons for individuals who were found guilty of assaulting Capitol Police officers.”
It is introduced as a unanimous consent agreement, which means it passes automatically unless someone stands up opposing it. One Republican is going to have to further destroy any semblance of morality and oppose this, or else it passes.
One of our greatest powers is our ability to embarrass and annoy the other side. I want to see one of these resolutions weekly. Shame them.
She also had a scathing rebuke of RFK Jr on the senate floor 11 days ago. I expect we’ll see more of the same during this week’s hearings.
Robert Garcia (US CA HD 42)
Garcia gave a knockout quote to WaPo about what Dems should be doing. “I think we have to oppose him vigorously. I think the idea that we’re talking about holding hands with Donald Trump and extremist Republicans and like, kumbaya, I think is a huge mistake. We know what he’s going to do. We should oppose that and be very vocal and tough and push back.”
Veronica Escobar (US TX HD 16)
Escobar was interviewed on MSNBC this morning by Ana Cabrera. She explained in very layman’s terms why DT’s immigration decisions are literally just “political theatre.” I think this is the perfect language to use on this subject.
Dick Durbin (IL Sen)
Durbin recieved credible info suggesting that for the second time, Patel broke hostage protocol. Instead of trying to get the info he needs from the state department quietly, he’s loudly demanding the Judiciary committee be given all the info about this particular mission.
It’s not that more Dems aren’t fighting, it’s that they’re not getting the attention they deserve and need to be getting on a daily basis. Hopefully this series will change that.

Are you F- ing kidding me? You are so out of touch with reality! Stop talking and start acting! Develop plans to physically stop Trump/Musk! Put your ass on the line with some civil disobedience. The kind Dr. King employed. You were sent to DC to represent the people. Show some courage and take action!
It is very hard to watch Dems vote for cabinet nominees so grotesquely unqualified and for bills like the Laken Riley act. That’s so demoralizing. Thanks for amplifying those who are standing up and fighting back!
