Daily Dems Doing the Work, Making Noise, and Fighting Back Day 4
Another day of reminding everyone that the Democrats are not sitting on their hands
It occurred to me today that the reason so many think only a couple of the Dem electeds are fighting back is because there are a few that have a lot of social media followers, and a lot that have a very small number of followers.
So when the Dem with a lot of followers posts something inspirational, a lot of people see it, but even if the Dem with fewer followers posts something impactful, no one is going to see it. It isn’t just about Dems doing the work, we need to know they’re doing that work.
So make sure you are following every elected official you see on every platform. That way, you will be able to help spread their message and others will know how amazing they are too!
On that note, let’s get started
WA Sen Patty Murray
She was on NPR today to discuss holding the Admin accountable. And that’s not all.
All the Dems on the Budget Committee held a press conference about the dangers of Russell Vought. Unfortunately, the Dem arm of the committee is still only active on Twitter, but you can see Patty’s part of the press conference on her Threads.
MN Sen Amy Klobuchar
Her questioning of Kash Patel was utterly phenomenal. Especially the part where she ripped him apart for not being able to answer if he said the FBI headquarters should be shut down
Senate Budget Committee Dems
Not a single Dem member of the Senate Budget Committee attended Russell Vought’s confirmation vote in the committee. Again, they’re not active on anything but Twitter, but they did release a statement there.
VT Sen Peter Welch
He would not stop questioning Kash Patel until Patel said Biden won the 2020 election, he never did, but Welch kept pushing.
IL Gov JB Pritzker, MA Gov Maura Healey, MN Gov Tim Walz, KY Gov Andy Beshear, KS Gov Laura Kelly and NY Gov Kathy Hochul
These six Dem governors had a phone call with Chuck Schumer today to explain why he’s not pushing back on DT enough, and how to push back harder. This NYT article breaks down each gov’s piece in the conversation and I have gifted the article to you because I can’t find it on Archive.
MN Sen Tina Smith
For everyone saying no one is doing podcasts, this is Tina on I’ve Had It giving her detailed plans on how to fight back.
This list does absolutely no justice to the amount of work the Democrats are doing, but hopefully, it will encourage you to follow as many Dem electeds as you can and spread everything they do yourself.
Let’s make every Dem doing the work go viral every single day!
